Machine is BACK!

TEMPORARILY "Out of Service"...

Ok. So, I thought I posted this before, but apparently I forgot..OOPS! I should be back up and running within the week or next week.
Sadly, my machine had to go to the shop! I have had several people wanting things done, but not in a hurry for them. I'm hoping to have it back by March. I will still take orders, and work on them in the order they come. I have a handful of orders already, so if you're wanting anything quick, go ahead and get your order in!! ;) Sorry if this causes any inconviences, something broke and it needed to be serviced, so since I was at a point to where I could take it, I jumped on it. Thanks for your support!! Meanwhile, I will be getting fabric and new appliques..

Those are just a few things I've done recently. I need to get better at this blogging. Since I've gone to work, it has gotten harder to do it all! I will have to start trying to update weekly, so I can keep up with what I do. I do try to snap pictures of the things I do; however, sometimes I fail to do that! I have several pictures of Valentines and Christmas that I never got around to posting, so I will just try to remember to post them for next year since those holidays have already come and gone! I have to get better at this!!
Be thinking of things to do for Mardi Gras, St. Patricks Day, and Easter! They will soon be here. Let me know if you would like to order. I have several designs and can get more. I will try to get them posted on here, as well!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Sorry for not posting in FOREVER!! It's been a crazy one. I thought Santa was going to bring me a new machine for Christmas, but he must have gotten sidetracked on that thought!! ;) There's always my BIRTHDAY, which is TOMORROW! HA. Anyway, I have a few pictures of things I've done, and just haven't sat down to upload and update the blog. I will do that this week sometime. In the meantime, Valentines will be here before we know it. I asked Rosemary, over at Applique Cafe, for permission to use her pictures of designs (some I have yet to buy) to show what's out there. So, here are some designs I HAVE, and some are from AC that I don't have yet. Keep in mind there are other websites that I buy designs from, too! I'm excited about the new year and what it has to bring for "The Crafty Monkey"!! I am still teaching, so I'm still monogramming/applique(ing), just please get in your items/orders in enough time for me to get them done! I have 2 kids, plus a husband to take care of, too! I love doing this for people and apologize for any inconvience I may have caused over Christmas break. With 2010 being my first year at this, I was unaware of how "busy" you could get! This year, I will be more aware and hopefully be able to manage my time better. Hopefully I can come up with a schedule and set aside certain nights to monogram, and I will be off summers, so that will also help! Thanks for your continued support!!

FYI!

Ok. This morning I was trying to access my FB page and for some reason it has been deleted or someone hacked into my PERSONAL account and did something to it. I have no clue what happened. So, I am not going to fool with that for a little while. I have some BIG news!! As some of you don't know, I am a teacher. I have been hoping for a position to open up and my son's school at Simpson Academy, and luckily something opened up within the last week or so. They called me in to talk about it, called me in for a more formal interview, and bam! I got the job!! I'm really excited, but also SAD! I have been home ever since I had Walker, so this is going to be BIG adjustment! Vallie will start daycare at FBC in Magee, and I will start WORK teaching K3 at Simpson! I am so happy to be able to be where our kids will be! SO, now that I got all of that excitement out of the way, it's time for me to get to work. I have several things I need to catch up on so I won't be CRAZY when I start work. However, I will be slowing down just a tad, only until I can get in the groove of things. The next two weeks are going to be very crazy for me as we have Fall Festival on Monday, October 25th from 6-8:30 (Come up to Simpson if you are in the area, we will have several vendors and lots of great food. It will be down at the football field!), a quick camping trip to Yogi Bear Halloween weekend, and a field trip November 2, which is also Vallie's birthday! I don't think I EVER slow down! I do have some new appliques, and a few things I've done lately...I will get those posted later tonight or tomorrow. I need a better way of posting new appliques-if you have any ideas PLEASE let me know!! Thanks for your support and just note if you want something by Thanksgiving or Christmas or if you need something pretty quick, just let me know, and try to get your orders in for the holidays! Quick Post!

Ok! I KNOW I'm a slacker! This is just ONE baby gift I did recently. I promise to do better at updating, and I hope to post more things I've done recently this weekend. This is the cutest baby gift for a little girl! She sure will be cute modeling her little "crafty monkey" attire!


I have a few more halloween/fall/christmas designs to upload, also. I have been working on several things lately and I know I need to take pictures, but I tend to forget sometimes. Also, if you have any ideas, please let me know. I can do just about ANYTHING you can think of! I saw the cutest pumpkin inside a patch earlier today. SOOO cute!
